My daughter often refers to falling down the rabbit hole when she follows one link after the other and ends up somewhere completely random. It was my turn tonight and it all started with a non-committal search on meditation.
A few clicks and I found myself reading a completely unrelated blog by James Clear: When the 80/20 Rule Fails: The Downside of Being Effective.
I wasn't expecting his reference to Audrey Heburn. Who knew she stopped making films in 1967 to switch careers and become a UNICEF volunteer? My new hero!
As I ventured past Audrey, I bumped into Peter who made me giggle:
“There is nothing so useless as doing efficiently that which should not be done at all.”
- Peter Drucker
I can identify 👍
As i finished the blog, I completely forgot my earlier intentions of learning more about meditation, and found myself magically in social media land. How does that happen? And then, low and behold who should I bump into? James, again.
I'm not sure if he was intending to be humorous, but I couldn't help but think his tweet was a little funny. I can't say I've ever thought of kindness as being cheap 🤣
