Our landscape is changing. Decisions, restrictions and changes to ongoing service delivery is accelerated in this environment. It’s a stressful and challenging time. For us as your trusted provider, for our clients, participants and their families and for our larger stakeholder network.


GSL acknowledges these trying times and would like to continue open, transparent communication to everyone involved.


In our ongoing bid to curb the spread of the virus it has necessitated tough decisions over the past 3 days. As such GSL would like to inform you as follows.


HUB’s Learning & Life skills and recreation group-based program (LEAP, BASE, CHILL)

We will cease face to face service delivery on Friday, 27th March 2020 until further notice and will launch our new virtual HUB service as of Monday, 30th March 2020. At present we have 97 places filled and as such will be running a number of online groups per day. These groups will be hosted by Trudy Graham and Linda Muller on a rotation basis between the hours of 9am and 3pm daily Monday to Friday.

Individual Support Community Access

We are continuing our services whilst adhering to Government restrictions on accessing social public venues, social distancing and practicing good personal and client hygiene. For this reason we have creatively adapted service structures to continue meeting client goals and ensuring overall service satisfaction for as long as we are able to. Coordination of these services will continue and will be managed by Lachlan Gordon, operating from his remote, home based office.

Individual Support Daily Living

This service will continue whilst adhering to Government requirements around social distancing and practicing good personal and client hygiene. Coordination of these services will continue and will be managed by Lachlan Gordon, operating from his remote, home based office.


SIL and AC

These essential services will continue whilst adhering to Government restrictions on accessing social public venues, social distancing and practicing good personal and client hygiene. Excursions, community access and non-essential appointments are now cancelled, and services will continue in home. Our team of House Coordinators and Team Leaders will continue coordination of these services operating from their individual service-based offices and home-based offices.

Main Office

We have ceased operations from our Main Office in Anderson street, Manunda and we are now fully functional and operational within our virtual working space and from our individual home-based offices. We have successfully adapted our cyber access protocols and can navigate and coordinate all main business operations and risks sufficiently.

As such, we remain contactable during the hours of 8.30 and 4.30 Monday to Friday on our main office line which is 40310123.


Operations

Our operations team is now fully functional and operational within our virtual working space and from their individual home-based offices. They continue to coordinate and support main business operations 7 days a week from 7am to 11pm.


As an innovative and future conscious service provider, we are now in the process of evaluating our community’s needs both during and post this pandemic and we are deliberately asking questions and gaining insight into how we are able to adapt and provide solutions to these needs.


Shortly, we will commence calling around to our known families and carers to have conversations about their changing needs and how we can potentially support them.
